Description

A Chablis Premier Cru from the Cote de Lechet climat, one of the appellation's finest left-bank premiers crus, made by Domaine Gerard Tremblay from 25 to 33-year-old vines on pure Kimmeridgian limestone with a distinctive mineral complexity that sets premier cru apart.

Tasting Notes
Complex nose of dried and fresh fruit with a deeper, more layered mineral core than village Chablis. Very aromatic on the palate, with excellent freshness and a notably long finish that shows the extra depth of premier cru terroir. 20% aged in new oak for six to twelve months adds a subtle texture without dominating.

Quick Facts

  • Grape: 100% Chardonnay (25 to 33-year-old vines)
  • Origin: France, Burgundy, Chablis Premier Cru AOC (Cote de Lechet)
  • Style: Dry white, sustainable viticulture, 20% new oak ageing
  • Winemaking: Mechanical harvest, pneumatic press, cold settling, temperature-controlled fermentation, 80% stainless steel and 20% new oak, 6 to 12 months sur lie, full malolactic, filtered but not fined

Food Pairing
Shellfish, crab, lobster, and grilled turbot. Also excellent alongside dressed crab salads and richer seafood preparations.

Serving
Serve at 10-12°C. This wine will reward 5 to 8 years in the cellar from a good vintage.
