Description

A fragrant, aromatic Bergerac blanc from organic clay-limestone vineyards, blending the roundness of Semillon with the freshness of Sauvignon and the floral lift of Muscadelle.

Tasting Notes

Pale gold in the glass. The nose is immediately inviting with aromas of acacia blossom, orange flowers, and white peach. On the palate there is an incredible aromatic complexity, with a beautiful balance of roundness and freshness. The Semillon brings weight and texture while the Sauvignon and Muscadelle add vibrancy and lift. The finish is long and generously aromatic.

About the Producer

Chateau Tour des Gendres was created by Luc de Conti, third generation of an Italian family that settled south of Bergerac in 1925. Luc pioneered organic farming in the region from 1996 and was certified in 2009, becoming one of the first in the Bergerac appellation to convert entirely. The 50-hectare estate in Ribagnac sits on clay-limestone soils and produces wines of remarkable purity and character. Today the estate is run by Gilles and Margaux de Conti, continuing Luc's legacy with the same passion and commitment to the land.
