About this wine
The entry point to Domaine Gérard Tremblay's Chablis range, made from Chardonnay grown just outside the main Chablis appellation boundary but on the same Kimmeridgian limestone soils, offering the same minerality at a gentler price.
Best enjoyed within 3 years.
Tasting notes
Pale straw yellow. Fresh mint and citrus on the nose with a hint of liquorice. The palate is fresh and supple with grapefruit peel leading to a crisp, persistent finish. The mineral backbone is there, just lighter and more immediate than village Chablis. A good-value introduction to the Tremblay style.
Goes with
Oysters, halibut, sole, and lighter seafood preparations. The classic Chablis food match.
