Vegueros translates as "Farmers", and the brand is a tribute to the generations who have grown tobacco in the Vuelta Abajo of Pinar del Río, where it was tradition for the farmers to roll their own cigars for visitors. Every vitola in the range takes its name from the farmers' own vocabulary, and Tapados is no exception. A tapado is the cloth canopy stretched above the fields to shade the plants grown for wrapper leaf, filtering the sun so the leaves stay fine, supple and even in colour.

Tasting Notes
Smoking Time (Average): 45 Minutes
Hand rolled at the Francisco Donatien factory in the city of Pinar del Río, from long filler and binder grown in the Vuelta Abajo, the only zone in Cuba that produces wrapper, binder and filler alike. The slimmer 46 ring concentrates the blend, giving an earthy tobacco core with cedar and black pepper, a touch of leather underneath and the rustic edge the brand has always kept. Medium to full bodied, direct and well balanced.
