A biodynamic Merweh from Sept, made from century-old pre-phylloxera vines nestled in a pine forest on Mount Lebanon — an almost-extinct indigenous variety revived here with extraordinary freshness, minerality, and the distinctive character of Lebanon's high-altitude terroir.
Tasting Notes
Fresh and mineral on the nose with a delicate floral quality and the distinctive character of old vines on limestone. The palate recalls long summer days in Mount Lebanon's sun — bright acidity, a textural depth from the century-old vine roots, and a mineral finish of real persistence. Merweh was nearly lost entirely; this bottle is both a pleasure and a preservation act.
